A member of the California Bar, Chris Jensen is a legal writing coach with broad experience in Europe, Asia, and the US. He has worked with many top firms, companies, organizations, and universities.

He was Editor-in-Chief of The Hong Kong Lawyer, the official journal of the Hong Kong Law Society.

He has taught legal writing at the University of Vienna, Korea University (Seoul), City University of Hong Kong, Central European University (Budapest), and others. At City University, he led the three-year project “Improving Legal English: Quality Measures for Program Development and Evaluation.”

Mr. Jensen holds a Juris Doctorate from BYU (Utah), where he was the editor of the Law Review International Comparative Law Annual. He earned an LLM (magna cum laude) from the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and an MA in Legal Linguistics (distinction) from the City University of Hong Kong.

He was a Fulbright Scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany.

The second edition of Mr. Jensen’s book “Legal Writing Coach“ (LexisNexis) appeared in 2018. He is working on a new series of short, targeted books. Now based in Malaga, Spain, he has lived and worked in Europe and Asia for almost three decades.
